Born from countless late nights and long weekends lost in a web of planning tabs, clicking through Google Street View, plotting points on clunky mapping tools, cross-referencing obscure forums and old blog posts. We hunted for the perfect corners, the right surface, the unforgettable vistas. We checked hotel reviews just to ensure safe parking for cars we’ve poured our souls into. And still, we’d often drive right past automotive mecca, unaware it was just over the next ridge.
It was exhausting. And exhilarating. And we knew there had to be a better way.
So We Built It.
New Roads is a revolutionary AI-powered road trip planner designed to take the guesswork out of planning and bring the thrill back into driving. It’s for everyone, from supercar owners to weekend hot hatch warriors, from seasoned road-trippers to those who’ve never taken the long way home. Our mission is simple: to make unforgettable road trips accessible to all, no matter your wheels or your level of experience.
We combine cutting-edge artificial intelligence with carefully curated datasets to craft hyper-personalised road trip itineraries based on your preferences – including vehicle type, road surface, scenery, trip length, time of year, accommodation style, and even your appetite. Our platform is powered by AI, driven by community – constantly learning, evolving and growing with every journey shared. The Team
Steve, Sian, Henry and Erin are the current team behind New Roads. Husband and wife duo Steve and Sian founded the business after many road trips and hours spent planning them. Henry, a good friend and investor in New Roads is the driving force behind our marketing strategy. Erin, fellow petrolhead who we met after a chance introduction and spirited drive down a runway, is our superb social media expert. Together we have fun working on a subject that we’re all passionate about whilst building a business that can change the way everyone plans road trips.

New Roads is free to try for one road trip.
Sign-up for a free Trial Account to unlock access to some driver features and more road trip planning. With the free Trial Account you can plan up to 3 completely custom road trips on us. We’d love to offer more for free, but behind the scenes we’re working with some heavy-lifting AI and premium data — and those things come with real costs.
Upgrade to a Subscription Account to unlock all driver features such as; export to Google Maps, plan new road trips, save your custom road trips and more. Our Subscription Account comes with unlimited use for just £9.99 a month*, or save 20% with a one-off annual payment of £95. That can be less than the cost of a tank of fuel — but a lot more fun.

- What areas does New Roads cover?
To begin with we will cover UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Switerzland and Belgium. You can try it anywhere else in the world but be aware that we have yet to build those datasets so the output may not be as we’d want it to be.
- I don’t have a car, is that an issue?
Absolutely not! Go with a friend who has a car or hire a car. If you’d like to hire a car then just ask the chat and it’ll give you options to suit your desires – even if thats a classic or a supercar!
- How does New Roads work?
It is a web based platform that goes beyond the A-B of a traditional map and pulls multiple sources of information together to build hyper-personalised road trips based on your requirements.
The platform starts by asking you questions to understand where you want to go, what you’re driving, how long you want to go for, etc, and then generates a road trip just for you. You can keep interacting with it to edit it to suit you and add places of interest, hotels, restaurants, petrol visits and pitstops.
Once you are happy with the road trip you can export a Google Map that you can share with others joining you and you’re ready to roll! You can find out more about all of our driver inspired features here.

- How does New Roads choose roads that are good for driving?
Well that’s the magic! We have trained it to understand what makes a good road to drive and it’ll choose routes based on this information. Even better, if you’ve told the platform what you are driving, it’ll tailor the suggestions accordingly.

- Can I use New Roads to find a drive in my local area?
The platform’s purpose is to help you discover new roads; whether that’s the best roads in your local area or a dream road trip further afield.
- Can New Roads help me plan a 10 day trip to the Alps?
Absolutely! If you’ve ever tried to plan one of these, then you know how hard it can be! Not any more. The platform will keep asking you questions until it has everything it needs to plan the entire 10 days including hotels, restaurants, automotive places of interest, specific passes or roads you want to drive. The platform will produce a full itinerary, quick links for bookings and detailed Google Map, split in to legs for each day’s drive.
- Can New Roads suggest hotels to stay at that suit me?
Yes it can! Tell the platform what type of hotel you’d like to stay at and your preferred star rating. The platform will give you hotel suggestions along the route and provide links to those hotels so you can easily make a booking.
Once you’ve made a hotel booking, if it’s different from the suggested stops, simply come back to the chat and tell the platform which hotels you booked and it will update your itinerary.

- Can New Roads suggest restaurants to eat at?
Yes, of course! Simply chat to the platform and tell it what type of food you like to eat and the platform will make suggestions along your route. At the moment you’ll have to make your booking direct with the restaurant, we’re working on a restaurant booking integration for a future release.
- Are you promoting fast driving?
No, New Roads does not promote fast driving. The platform is only providing suggestions of road trips for you to enjoy the open road within the legal limits of the road. As drivers it is our collective responsibility to drive safely for ourselves and others sharing the roads. It is your responsibility to drive responsibility.
- Who are the type of people who would use the platform?
Any driver who loves the drive as much as the destination! Whether you’re driving a hot hatch, sports car, supercar, classic car or even a hire car, New Roads is for you.
- Is New Roads suitable for motorcyclists?
It is but we’re learning as we go. We understand that as a motorcyclist you have slightly different needs. We need to launch this first version and then we’ll work on it for a future release. If you’re a motorcyclist and have used the platform and have suggestions then we’d love to hear from you. You can email us on the feedback form on the updates page.
