What customers say about New Roads

We could tell you what New Roads does. We could talk about the technology, the AI, our years of experience planning and driving road trips, the way the tech learns your car and your preferences.

But sometimes, it’s best to stop talking and let others do it for you.

The best proof has always been the people using New Roads. It’s how we built this. By listening to others and taking onboard their views and opinions.

Since launch, we’ve seen road trips planned, detours added, hotels swapped, cars changed and journeys reshaped. We’ve watched drivers take what we built and make it their own. And that’s the point.

Below are just a few of the messages, posts and reflections we’ve received from the community so far. No scripts. No spin. Just drivers sharing their experience.

We’re still early. We’re still learning. But this is exactly why we started.

“I first heard about New Roads when talking to Steve about a solo trip through France into Germany in my 675LT. I was short on time, so he suggested I try the beta version.

After a few simple questions it generated a route from Reims through the Vosges and into the Black Forest. I wasn’t sure I could trust it, but it absolutely nailed it. Fast, flowing roads, well-timed stops, and an unforgettable run along the Route des Crêtes. Lunch at Restaurant Gazon du Faing was a highlight I’d never have found myself.
New Roads kept delivering into Germany, finding more great roads through the Black Forest to Baden-Baden and Stuttgart. If the beta was this good, I can’t wait to see what the full platform can do.”

“As someone who loves road trips and organising them, when Steve and the team mentioned what they were building, I knew I had to give it a try.
I gathered a group of friends for a drive from Caffeine and Machine to Gasoline Juice using as many B-roads as possible. Normally this would take hours of planning and map-scouring, but with the New Roads beta, in just a few minutes and with a couple of tweaks, it had planned a route ready for us to drive.
And boy did it deliver. Fun, twisty B-roads where my E90 felt right at home. Every driver in the group came away impressed. I’ll be using New Roads to plan all my future trips, without a doubt.”

“Working in AI and being into cars doesn’t always cross over, but a chance meeting last year saw me get the opportunity to do some testing of a new app that has just launched. By entering information on the car you drive, the sort of roads you want to use plus where you’d like to eat and drink along the way to your destination, New Roads gives you loads of guidance on potential routes and stops, plus it breaks the trip into a handy itinerary. I tried it last year during its beta phase on a few day trips plus gave it free reign to plan our trip back from France and it was great, with some brilliant suggestions on new places for coffee stops and some pretty great dining. For my car buddies who like road trip or even just a simple day trip, then it comes highly recommended from me and definitely worth signing up for.”

Ben, Porsche 911 GT3

“I was struggling with what to do with a free day for driving while in Reims. We tried Google and socials first, but couldn’t find anything documented. The New Roads app stepped in and did a pretty epic job of finding us driving roads and points of interest around the Champagne region. We never would have found the roads that made the day special without it. Well impressed and would recommend to anybody at a loose end who needs inspiration and has no time to plan.”
